Snickers Cookies

These cookies take a just a bit more work to prepare, but they are definitely worth the effort. This is my favorite homemade cookie recipe to use for gift giving and it always gets rave reviews. The secret? A mini Snickers bar in the middle of each cookie. Yum!

3 cups flour
1 tsp baking power
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup butter - softened
1 cup creamy peanut butter
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 bags of Snickers miniature candy bars
FOR CHOCOLATE GLAZE:
1 cup confectioner's sugar
2 tbl cocoa powder
1 - 2 tbl milk
