Spicy Chicken Tortilla Soup

Spicy and filling-perfect for a stormy day.

4 cups organic chicken broth* (vegetarian substitutions are below)

1lb organic chicken breast, grilled and cubed*

1/2 onion, chopped

1/2 to 1 jalepeno pepper, sliced

1 can (14.5 oz) organic reduced salt diced tomatoes

1 can (15 oz) organic Black Beans, drained and rinsed

1/2 teaspoon chili powder

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 cup cilantro, chopped

Lime wedges

1 cup crushed homemade tortilla chips (optional)
Heat the broth, covered, in a large pot until boiling. Add beans, chicken, onion, tomato, jalepeno and spices. Reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Ladle into bowls and garnish with cilantro, chips...
