Spinach, sausage, and bean soup

A hearty Italian-style soup, that is fit for a meal!

4-6 links of mild or hot italian sausage, casings removed, and broken up into chunks
2 cups chopped spinach
1 can cannellini(white beans) beans, with liquid
1 carton of chicken broth
1/2-1 cup water
1 tsp fresh basil, finely diced
All of the following were to taste:
{dash of italian seasoning,dash of crushed red pepper flakes,dash of garlic powder,dash of onion salt}
1/2 cup small pasta-I used ditalini
In a large soup pot, brown sausage and drain off any fat. Add beans and liquid, spinach, chicken broth and seasonings and heat to boiling. Then reduce and cook until spinach is limp and flavors have melded together, about 20 minutes. Add pasta and cook until pasta is al dente. Top with grated parmesan cheese and serve with crusty bread. Enjoy! **You can double or triple this recipe easily...and it freezes great!(just portion into freezer storage container before adding pasta...add pasta when you heat it up)**
