Strawberry Pound Cake with Strawberry Glaze

A perfectly light cake that will help you ring in the warm weather with Strawberries, the berry that just says Summer!

3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) unsalted butter

3/4 cup sugar

3 eggs, separated

1 1/4 cups flour

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped

for the Glaze:
4 Tablespoons butter, softened

1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

1/2 cup strawberry puree
