Best chilli ever!!!!

2 lbs lean ground beef
2 garlic cloves chopped
1 lg onion chopped
1 ,398 ml can fire roasted tomatoes
2 cups beef stock
1 cup frozen corn
1 ,10 oz can cream of tomato soup
2 tbs chilli powder
2 tsp cumin
1 1/4 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp ground pepper
1tsp salt
1 , 19 oz can black beans ( drained)
1/2 tsp oregano
In a large pot brown ground beef, adding onions half way through the browning process. Then garlic that has been finely chopped. Stir in all seasonings and let toast in beef mix for one minute. Now add stock , tomatoes, soup, beans and corn. Simmer for an hour and a half. Garnish with sharp cheddar and serve with corn chips.

Marinated Taro Root

A marinated snack that can be used to replace late night bad habit cravings!

8 small taro roots
water
salt
1 cup yogurt, mixed with enough water to submerge roots (add salt)

  1. Wash the taro roots well.
  2. Slightly cut a slit into each root, but not big enough to split the root into two pieces. This will allow the water and marinade to go into the taro root
