Fresh Peach Scones

Just when I thought these things couldn\\\'t get any better, they did. I loved the banana scones I made with my daughter, but then we decided to make them with fresh peaches. Oh my goodness! With fresh peaches, these scones went to a new level of yumminess. Treat your taste buds to something special with these wonderful treats!

1½ cups all-purpose flour ( plus extra for dusting )
? cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
½ teaspoon fine sea salt
? teaspoon ground cardamom
½ cup (1 stick) cold butter ( cut into ½-inch cubes )
1 cup fresh peaches ( diced )
¼ cup whole milk
1 large egg ( beaten with a pinch of fine sea salt, for egg wash )
2 tablespoons granulated sugar for sprinkling

Peach Blueberry Pie with Pecan Streusel Topping

3 cups fresh peaches ( peeled, pitted, and sliced )
2 cups fresh blueberries
1 1/2 Tbls fresh lemon juice
3 Tbls cornstarch
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

This gorgeous summer dessert, piled three layers high with homemade yellow cake, a cool and creamy, pudding-infused frosting, grilled in-season peaches, and chopped pecans, is sure to wow!
