This is perhaps the original sloppy joe recipe. This recipe was taken to church functions ever since I was a little gal. Since growing up the recipe hasn't changed, but how we serve it has. We still serve it as a sloppy joe in a bun, but a great twist is to serve it with chips as a dip, or need an appetizer? spoon this into a Tostito's scoop and load them on a tray - sprinkle a little cheese and you have a super awesome appetizer! 2 1/2 lbs ground beef
3 cups chopped celery
1 large onion grated or finely chopped
1 cup ketchup
1 103/4 oz tomato soup
1 10 3/4 oz Chicken Gumbo Soup
2 tablespoons mustard
1 tsp chili powder
2 tbsp brown vinegar
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
