A straightforward, easy, and delicious berry tart. So fresh! And so very flaky, creamy and sweet. All in one bite. A berry tart anyone can make! Perfect for the July 4th holiday!

FOR THE PASTRY
1½ cups flour
½ cup powdered sugar

8 tablespoons (1 stick) very cold, unsalted butter
2 tablespoons heavy cream
1 egg yolk

FOR THE FILLING
½ cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons flour
2 tablespoons corn starch
3 egg yolks
1? cups milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 cups fresh berries, any three that are in season
