Triple Cheddar Macaroni and Cheese
24
My 15 year old daughter loves this dish and would eat it every day if I would let her!
12
3 Tbsp of butter or margarine
1/4 cup of flour
1 tsp of salt
1/2 tsp of paprika
1/2 tsp of garlic powder
1 tsp of parsley
1/2 tsp of dry mustard
1/4 tsp of black pepper
2 and 1/2 cups of milk
2 cups of tri cheddar cheese (white, sharp, and mild)
1 cup of mozzarella cheese
16 ounces of elbow macaroni
1/4 pound ham, cut into small chunks
1/4 cup of flour
1 tsp of salt
1/2 tsp of paprika
1/2 tsp of garlic powder
1 tsp of parsley
1/2 tsp of dry mustard
1/4 tsp of black pepper
2 and 1/2 cups of milk
2 cups of tri cheddar cheese (white, sharp, and mild)
1 cup of mozzarella cheese
16 ounces of elbow macaroni
1/4 pound ham, cut into small chunks
You can cook your pasta while preparing your sauce. Just have your water boiling before starting the sauce.
Mix your flour and spices in a small bowl, and melt your butter in a medium sized saucepan. Add the dry ingredients and cook to make a roux. Remove this from heat and mix the milk in the roux. Cook about 10 minutes over medium heat until it thickens. Add the cheeses and create your cheese sauce. Save a little bit of cheese to sprinkle on the top.
After draining your pasta, return to cooking pot, and add ham and cheese sauce. Stir until mixed well.
Grease a 9x13 inch casserole and poor into pan. Spread evenly and sprinkle with cheese.
Bake about 20 minutes at 375 degrees or until bubbly and slightly browned on top.
