Soft pumpkin muffins with a surprisingly tasty center ~ perfect for fall weather and entertaining!

6 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
2 Tablespoons honey
3 cups white whole wheat flour (I find mine at Trader Joe's)
4 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
4 eggs
1 cup sugar
2 1/2 cups canned pumpkin (not pumpkin pie filling)
3/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
