Slow Cooker Mexican Rice

Ingredients

1    onion
1    garlic ( clove, minced )
1/2    cup    white rice, raw
1 1/2    cups    chicken broth ( fat free )
14 1/2    ounces    tomatoes ( diced )
15    ounces    kidney beans ( drained and rinsed )
1/4    cup    green taco sauce
1/2    teaspoon    salt
1/4    teaspoon    black pepper
1/8    cup    cilantro ( fresh )
1    tablespoon    green onion ( chopped )

Directions

Place rice, broth, diced tomatoes, beans, taco sauce, oregano, onions, garlic and salt and pepper in a slow cooker. Cover and cook on low setting for 3 to 4 hours. Stir in cilantro and green onions just before serving.
