Angie's Honey Dressing

4

My sister, Angie, has made this delicious salad dressing for family potluck parties for years. The original recipe was in "The Essential Mormon Cookbook". She reduced the sugar to help cut-down on the sweetness and calories. I have made this by substituting the sugar with Splenda ( but I don't like it quite as much). This recipe makes approximately 1 C of salad dressing or (16) 1 TBS servings. I especially like this salad on my "Working Girl's Favorite Salad".

16
1/8 C Sugar
1/4 C Honey
1/2 tsp Paprika
1/2 tsp Dijon Mustard
1/2 tsp Onion, finely grated
1/8 C Lemon Juice
1/2 C Oil
1/8 tsp Celery Seed
Pinch of Poppy Seeds
Add all ingredients except for the Oil, Celery Seed, and Poppy Seeds to a blender. Give them a good whir (that's a fun word to say - and I'm sure it really is a "real" word). Keep the blender running and slowly add the oil and the celery and poppy seeds. This dressing will keep for 3 weeks in the refrigerator.
