A delicious combination of oats, nuts and dried fruit, with the addition of puffed rice cereal for crispiness. Applesauce is used with the oil to help hold everything together, and keep it on the healthier side.

3 1/2 cups rolled oats
2 cups puffed rice cereal
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground ginger
pinch ground cardamom
3/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup applesauce (unsweetened)
1/4 cup honey
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups rough chopped almonds
1 cup raisins
