Bratwurst Potato Bun
49
This idea comes from a Taiwanese snack which folds meat inside a rice-potato mixture. I simplified the ingredients to make it easily accessible.
2
2 tbsp. rice flour
½ cup and 2 tbsp. potato starch
1¼ cup and 2 tbsp. water
¼ cup chopped sauerkraut
1 chopped cooked Bratwurst
1 teaspoon brown mustard
Salt to taste
Ground pepper to taste
½ cup and 2 tbsp. potato starch
1¼ cup and 2 tbsp. water
¼ cup chopped sauerkraut
1 chopped cooked Bratwurst
1 teaspoon brown mustard
Salt to taste
Ground pepper to taste
Slightly oil 2 rice bowls.
Sauté sauerkraut and Bratwurst in a little oil for 2 to 3 minutes. Set aside.
Mix rice flour, potato starch, water, brown mustard, salt and pepper.
Pour into a pan, cook over low fire, stirring. As soon as the mixture starts to thicken, turn off the heat and keep stirring.
Fill each bowl halfway with rice mixture.
Divide the Bratwurst into both bowls.
Top the Bratwurst with the rest of the rice mixture.
Steam for 10 to 15 minutes. Let cool a little and serve inside the bowl or turn onto a plate.
Top with optional mayonnaise and ketchup.
