Quick and easy Sugar Cookies using cake mix, made it colorful and with chocolate chips

1 box Vanilla cake mix
1/2 cup butter (1 stick), softened
2 large eggs
3 tbsp flour
tiny chocolate chips (used semi sweet)
vanilla extract (optional)
almond extract (optional)
blue gel food coloring (optional)
red gel food coloring (optional)
