Chocolate Chip Cherry Cookies

This cookie tastes like a chocolate covered cherry in a cookie. This cookie is a sweet treat for someone you love!

Chocolate Chip Cherry Cookies
1/3 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/3 cup oil (any vegetable oil)
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup light brown sugar (packed)
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 3/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup quick-cook oats
3/4 cup chocolate chips
3/4 maraschino cherries (rinsed, dried, and chopped in quarters)
