Crispy Yam Fries is an easy finger food recipe you can cook at any place, as simple as French Fries. The yam used in this recipe is the long and thin one, also known as “Yamaimo” in Japanese, “Huai Shan” in Chinese. It is slippery, sticky, and smooth if you grate it.

1 stick / 150 grams Yam
3/4 cup Flour (more or less)
2 pinches Black Pepper powder
1/2 teaspoon Chicken Powder
1 nos Whole egg
3/4 cup Breadcrumbs (more or less)
As need Lemon wedges / Lime wedges
As need Tomato sauce

Wash, clean, and peel away the yam skin, cut into stick size.
Steam the yam sticks for ten minutes, or until soft. You can know by poking it with a fork.
