Crock Pot French Dip

3 Pound Beef Roast
2 TBL. Oil
Salt and Pepper
2 Cans of Beef Broth
2 Cups of Water
2 One Ounce Packages of Dry Onion Soup Mix
Rolls or Hoagie Buns
In a skillet brown your roast in the hot oil over medium heat. Salt and pepper each side while browning. Once browned add roast to a crock pot and add the broth, soup mix, and water. Cover and cook over medium - medium high heat for 4-6 hours or until the roast pulls apart with a fork. Add meat to your roll and cover with a slice of Provolone cheese, if desired. Broil for a few minutes until cheese is melted. Enjoy

Marinated Taro Root

A marinated snack that can be used to replace late night bad habit cravings!

8 small taro roots
water
salt
1 cup yogurt, mixed with enough water to submerge roots (add salt)

  1. Wash the taro roots well.
  2. Slightly cut a slit into each root, but not big enough to split the root into two pieces. This will allow the water and marinade to go into the taro root
