Dairy Free Almond Joy Strawberry Smoothie

Craving an Almond joy candy bar? Try this layered Chocolate Almond Coconut and Strawberry smoothie that is vegan, gluten free, and tastes just like the real deal; only better for you. Th Perfect healthy substitute for a milk shake too!

1 cup frozen strawberries
½ frozen banana
½ cup coconut milk ice cream (we use chocolate almond flavor)
1 tbsp of enjoy life non dairy chocolate chips or dark chocolate chips if you are not vegan
½ tbsp almond butter
1 cup coconut or almond milk
optional - coconut extract
optional - vanilla or chocolate protein
Blend banana, ice cream, berries, and milk first. Then add in your almond butter and chocolate chips last and blend on low to create a layered look. Top with extra strawberries, chocolate chips, etc. I...

Marinated Taro Root

A marinated snack that can be used to replace late night bad habit cravings!

8 small taro roots
water
salt
1 cup yogurt, mixed with enough water to submerge roots (add salt)

  1. Wash the taro roots well.
  2. Slightly cut a slit into each root, but not big enough to split the root into two pieces. This will allow the water and marinade to go into the taro root
