Easy Beef & Spinach Lo Mein

Yet another addition of my "fake out take out" meals. Never order take out again after you make this easy meal.

¼ C hoison sauce


2 T soy sauce


1 T water


2 tsp sesame oil


2 garlic cloves, minced


¼ tsp red pepper flake


1 lb beef top round steak, sliced thin


8 oz package of lo mein noodles, prepared according package


2 tsp canola oil


1 C sliced water chestnuts, drained


2 green onions, sliced


10 oz fresh spinach, roughly chopped
Combine the first 6 ingredients. In a large bowl add the steak slices and marinate with ¼ C of the mixture, set aside the rest of the sauce. Marinate at room temperature for 10 min. In a large skillet...

1 c sugar
3 T cornmeal
3 T unsweetened cocoa powder
Pinch salt
3 eggs
1/2 c salted butter
1/2 c light corn syrup
1 t vanilla extract
1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a large bowl, whisk together sugar, cornmeal, cocoa and salt. Add eggs, melted butter, corn syrup and vanilla; mix well. Pour into unbaked pie crust.
