1/2 cup Shortening
1-3/4 cups Sugar
1 T. Baking Powder
3/4 tsp. Salt
2 tsp. Vanilla
1 tsp. Almond extract
5 Eggs, whites only
2-1/3 cups All-Purpose Flour (original recipe: 2-3/4 cups Cake flour)
1 cup Milk
6 T. Butter, softened - Frosting
1 pkg. (8 oz) Cream Cheese, softened
4 cups Powdered Sugar
1 tsp. Vanilla
