Fast, Simple, and Hearty Homemade Tomato Sauce

A fast and easy tomato sauce that comes together quickly, is incredible on pasta, but can be used for so much more! Rich and hearty, this delicious sauce also freezes beautifully.

24 oz. can of chopped or diced tomatoes
1 piece of bacon, diced small (optional)
1 package of ground turkey (optional)
1 small onion or ½ of a large onion, diced
2 garlic cloves, minced or pressed
2 Tbsp. fresh basil or 2 tsp. dry
1 tsp. oregano
2 tsp. olive oil
2 tsp. balsamic vinegar
1 tsp. Italian seasoning
