Ever popular green chutney adds spice and a zing to the recipes specially Ragda Patties. Bedsides being the taste enhancing ingredient in these recipes, this chutney is very good accompaniment for any snack. For those who unlike onions can avoid it or replace with 2 tablespoons daria (roasted chana dal), it gives good body to the chutney.

2 cups chopped mint leaves (phudina)
1 cup chopped coriander (dhania)
1 large sized onion , sliced (optional)
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp sugar
4 green chili ( roughly chopped)
ginger
salt to taste

Combine all the ingredients and blend in a mixer to a smooth paste using a little water if required.
Refrigerate and use as required.
