Maple Sage Smashed Yams with Marshmallow Butter – the side dish everyone will be yammering about for days (pun intended)! This easy side dish is packed full of flavor, takes less than 30 minutes to prepare, doesn’t require the oven, and can be made ahead of time! You’re welcome :)

2 to 3 pounds of yams
¼ to ? cup half and half OR heavy whipping cream
2 tbsp fresh sage ( minced )
¼ cup REAL maple syrup
3 tbsp butter

1 cup miniature marshmallows
¼ cup butter
½ cup chopped pecans
2 tbsp freshly squeezed orange juice
pinch of cayenne pepper
