4 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
1 egg
½ cup packed pumpkin puree
¼ cup sugar
½ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
2 boxes Pepperidge Farms Puff Pastry Shells, defrosted and at room temperature
FOR THE SALTED CARAMEL TOPPING
½ cup caramel squares
2 tablespoons heavy cream, or more as needed
