A tangy, mayo-free coleslaw that feeds a crowd and lasts for days!

3 pounds cabbage, shredded
1 green pepper, chopped
2 small white onions, chopped
2 cups granulated sugar
1 cup vegetable oil
1 cup white vinegar
2 tablespoons celery seed
1 tablespoon Kosher salt
