One-Hour Tomato Basil Bread

This bread is easy to make and is fabulous paired with soup! Top a slice with some cheese and broil until melted for a tasty open-face grilled cheese!

1 1/2 cups milk
6 tablespoons sugar
3 tablespoons yeast
1 can diced tomatoes, pureed
1 tablespoon basil
5 cups flour
2 teaspoons garlic salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Butter for brushing tops of loaves
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Coat 2 loaf pans with nonstick spray and set aside. In a microwave safe bowl microwave the milk for 1 minute on high. Check to make sure it is the temperature of a warm baby bath.
