Pasta with Rose Sauce

Very light and delicious sauce. Easy to make!

Tomato Sauce
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
30 ml (2 tablespoons) olive oil
1 can 796 ml (28 oz) smooth tomato sauce
Salt and pepper
1/2 tsp of herbs (optional)
Bechamel Sauce
30 ml (2 tablespoons) butter
30 ml (2 tablespoons) unbleached all-purpose flour
250 ml (1 cup) milk
375 g (3/4 lb) long or short pasta of your choice
Top with parmesan cheese

Tomato Sauce
In a saucepan, soften the onion and garlic in the oil for about 3 minutes. Add sauce and bring to s boil and simmer for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season with salt and pepper.
Bechamel Sauce
3.In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour and cook for 1 minute, stirring continuously. Add the milk an bring to a boil while whisking. Season with salt and pepper.
4.Add the bechamel to the sauce and stir to combine. Adjust the seasoning.
5.In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the pasta until al dente. Drain. Add to the sauce and top with parmesan cheese.
