Quick and Easy Pasta Sauce

This is a quick and easy recipe for simple pasta sauce that I put together a few weeks ago. Put it over your favorite pasta and you have a great dinner!

1 tsp olive oil
1/2 cup chopped onion
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp dried basil
1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
1/4 tsp black pepper
28 oz. can crushed tomatoes
A few dashes of red pepper flakes (add as much as you'd like)
2 Tbsp chopped fresh parsley
Fresh shaved Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup chopped onion
