Savory Sausage Gravy

Wonderful sausage gravy that's amazing over hot split biscuits! {Be sure to check out my recipe for Becky's Best Biscuits!}

1/2 pound pork sausage
6 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
3 cups milk (2 % or whole milk is best)
Cook sausage, breaking into smaller pieces, over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Stir in flour & seasonings until blended. Gradually add milk. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat slightly, cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Serve over hot, split Becky's Best Biscuits!
