Slow Cooker Apple Butter | Vegan

Crockpot Apple Butter is an easy recipe that can be made in your crockpot or slow cooker and can double as the perfect holiday gift!

7 medium to large apples, chopped (I used Roman but choose an apple that is best for cooking and has a firmer texture)
1/4 cup packed dark brown sugar (you can use light but I prefer the richer molasses flavor)

1/4 cup dark agave (again, you can use light)
1/2 tsp sea salt (optional)
1 tbls vanilla extract (I used bourbon vanilla)
2 tbls cinnamon (I used saigon)
3/4 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp cloves
1/2 cup water

Add all ingredients to crock-pot
Cook mixture on low for 5-7 hours, stirring occasionally
Once cooled completely, blend until smooth puree (I used my Vitamix but you can use a hand blender or food processor)
