Strawberries and Cream Jello cake

this recipe is from a neighbor I made this recipe and its best recipe ever! I hope you all enjoy!

1 3 oz pkg strawberry gelatin
1 cup boiling water
1 8oz carton strawberry yogurt, regular not greek please
4 cups sliced fresh strawberries
6 tbl sugar
1 pint whipping cream- whipped with 2 tbl sugar until stiff peaks like cool whip
1 8 or 9 inch angel food cake
in a small bowl disslove gelatin in boiling water. chill until consistency of an unbeaten egg yolk about 10-15 minutes, do not let it sit in fridge over than 15 minutes it will turn into jello and you dont want that then whip until frothy in a hand beater. fold in yogurt, strawberries and then sweetened with sugar. fold in whipped cream break the cake into small pieces about 1 inch and fold in mixture. pour into springform pan cover with plasitc wrap and refridgrate for several hours or overnight. unmold and garinsh with additional berries and cream Yum!

Marinated Taro Root

A marinated snack that can be used to replace late night bad habit cravings!

8 small taro roots
water
salt
1 cup yogurt, mixed with enough water to submerge roots (add salt)

  1. Wash the taro roots well.
  2. Slightly cut a slit into each root, but not big enough to split the root into two pieces. This will allow the water and marinade to go into the taro root
