Asian Braised Beef

This is a saucy and savory beef dish. It would be great as a light refreshment at a party or as part of a weeknight dinner.

16 ounces beef brisket
3 cloves Garlic
1 tsp five spice
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp hoisin sauce
3 tbsp honey
salt and pepper to taste

There are few things I enjoy more than a good beef sandwich, and brisket is about as good as it gets. Several years ago while living in Wichita, Kansas I was introduced to a brisket that had real potential. I went home and tweaked the recipe a few times until I found the right combinations of flavors. This tender brisket has spice, a little heat, incredible flavor and is sure to please. 2 – 3 sliced onions

1 T. salt
1 tsp. paprika
½ tsp. red pepper
