The Head Salad

This quick and easy salad adds a special touch to any meal. Our favorite bar introduced us to the salad. However, when we cut back on our drinking for the Whole30 (and to cushion our pocketbooks) we started making this at home. It ha now become one of our at-home favorites because it\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s easy and gives an impressive look to wow our dinner guests.

Iceburg Lettuce
Uncured Bacon**
Sharp Cheddar*
White Onion
Bell Peppers (Red, Green and/or Orange)
Black Pepper
Chipotle Ranch*

*WHOLE30 alternative: Exchange uncured bacon for proscuitto. Leave off the cheddar. For the dressing: sprinkle a little olive oil, top with chipotle seasoning (chili powder, dried cilantro, cumin, oregano, dried sweet basil leaves, garlic powder, dried thyme leaves, crushed chipotle pepper) to taste.
**VEGETARIAN alternative: Exclude uncured bacon
