This Spaghetti is so hearty and delicious and so full of nutrients too! It is hard not to like something that tastes the way this Spaghetti tastes. It is especially great for this summer season, when all the produce is starting to come on! Fresh summer Squash, carrots and bell peppers from your own garden or the farmers market would be perfect for this recipe!

1/2 lb ground beef
1/2 cup purple onion, diced
1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
1 large tomato, finely chopped
1 bay leaf
1 TBS sugar
1 TBS garlic powder
1 TBS dried basil or 8 fresh leaves, chopped
salt to taste
1 cup water
1 small summer squash, sliced
1 green bell pepper, diced
1 carrot, peeled and coined
1/2 cup purple onion, diced
1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
1 large tomato, finely chopped
1 bay leaf
1 TBS sugar
1 TBS garlic powder
1 TBS dried basil or 8 fresh leaves, chopped
salt to taste
