Authentic Tamales

Tamales are so good! Its fun to get them at farmers market's and Taco Stands, but what could be better than making them yourself? It may seem like a long and daunting process, but I have a few tips and tricks to help out, and the reward is worth the price. :)

For the Chicken:
6 chicken breasts, cooked and shredded
2 TBS oil
1/2 of a purple onion, chopped
1 can (15 oz) crushed tomatoes
1 can (7 oz) chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
1 cup water

For the Masa:
About 5 cups Masa Corn Flour
16 oz. Lard
2 TBS Salt
2 2/3 cups chicken broth (left from cooking chicken)
