Easy Pear Crisp

I’m no baker, and I’d much rather throw together a quick dinner than measure ingredients for a cake! That said, sometimes it’s nice to be able to spoil loved ones with a special dessert on a special evening. Whether you save this idea for Thanksgiving dinner or prepare it for your next weeknight meal, an Easy Pear Crisp is the perfect simple fall dessert recipe!

6-7 medium pears, peeled and sliced (about 6 cups total)*

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 ½ teaspoons cinnamon

¼ teaspoon of nutmeg

¼ teaspoon salt

1 stick (½ cup) salted butter, softened

½ cup all-purpose flour

½ cup rolled oats

½ cup sugar

½ cup brown sugar

1/3 cup finely-chopped pecans

¼ teaspoon salt

For serving: vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce
