What better time of year to make some fresh salsa than right now?! One important thing I learned about salsa while living in Mexico is that using FRESH ingredients is the only way to go! Use real tomatoes and all natural ingredients and you will get the best results.

4 ripe tomatoes, (Roma work well)
1/4 red onion
2 serrano peppers, seeds and veins removed
1/2 bunch cilantro
3 cloves garlic
Juice of 1/2 lime
1 Tbs olive oil
1/2 tsp salt

Place red onion, serrano peppers (seeds and veins removed), cilantro and garlic in a food processor. Pulse several times until everything is finely minced. Remove to bowl.
