Iced Soft Gingerbread Cookies

Don’t let that “plain, boring just another Christmas cookie’ look fool you. They are amazing and so easy to make.

Cookies
2 boxes gingerbread cake & cookie mix
1/2 cup hot water
1/2 stick + 4 teaspoons butter softened, divided
1/2 cup sugar granulated
colored sprinkles

Icing
2+1/2 cups powdered sugar
1/4 cup french vanilla liquid coffee creamer
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
warm water
