Pumpkin Cream Cheese Braid

Delightful flavors of pumpkin and cream cheese wrapped in an easy-to-make braid. You can even use frozen bread or pizza dough if you're short on time (or don't trust yourself with yeast doughs!)

Frozen bread or pizza dough, thawed, or 1 loaf or pizza worth of homemade whole wheat dough (Recipe in full post)
8 oz low fat or vegan cream cheese
3 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp vanilla extract
½ c pumpkin puree (not pie filling)
1 tbsp maple syrup
¼ tsp pumpkin pie spice
1 tbsp unsweetened almond milk or preferred milk
1 tbsp sugar
2 tsp unsweetened almond milk or preferred milk
¼ tsp vanilla
½ c powdered sugar

Marinated Taro Root

A marinated snack that can be used to replace late night bad habit cravings!

8 small taro roots
water
salt
1 cup yogurt, mixed with enough water to submerge roots (add salt)

  1. Wash the taro roots well.
  2. Slightly cut a slit into each root, but not big enough to split the root into two pieces. This will allow the water and marinade to go into the taro root
