Sesame Dinner Rolls in 5 Minutes

These easy and delicious sesame dinner rolls mix up in about 5 minutes and with very little kneading. This recipe is great for homemade hamburger buns too!

1 1/2 cups water, room temperature or lukewarm
1 tablespoon sugar, granulated or brown sugar
2 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast (or a .25 ounce packet)
3 1/4 cups flour, unbleached or all-purpose
2 teaspoons salt, regular or kosher
Additional ingredients for dusting & shaping:
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour (for dusting and shaping the dough)
1 egg, lightly beaten (for brushing on the rolls)
1 tablespoon sesame seeds, toasted or regular (to sprinkle on top)
1 tablespoon sugar, granulated or brown sugar
2 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast (or a .25 ounce packet)

Instructions for making the dough:
Put the water, sugar & yeast into a large mixing bowl, or a 6 quart storage container.
In a separate bowl measure the flour and salt and whisk them together.
