Slow Cooker Refried Beans

These are SO much better than that canned stuff!

1 lb dry pinto beans
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 large yellow onion, chopped
2 tablespoons garlic, minced
1 jalapeno, seeded and minced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon white vinegar
1/4 teaspoon cumin
1/8 teaspoon chipotle chili powder
4 tablespoons butter
The night before, rinse the beans in a colander, checking for stones and shriveled beans. Put them in a large bowl and cover with at least 5 inches of water. Let sit overnight or at least 8 hours.
