1 c all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
3/4 c heavy cream
1 Tbsp unsalted butter ( melted )

Lemon Meringue Pie

My lemon meringue pie recipe is absolutely irresistible. The flaky butter crust is filled with smooth tangy lemon deliciousness, then topped off with a gorgeous amount of fluffy, lightly sweet meringue.

Pie Crust:
2-1/2 c all-purpose flour ( sifted )
1 c unsalted butter ( cold, cut into pea-sized pieces )
1 tsp salt
1 tsp granulated sugar
1 tsp lemon zest
A few Tbsp ice water
Vegetable shortening for greasing pie pan
Lemon Filling:
5 large egg yolks
1-1/4 c water
1-1/4 c granulated sugar
1/3 c plus 1 Tbsp cornstarch
1/2 c lemon juice
1 Tbsp lemon zest
Meringue:
5 large egg whites ( at room temperature )
1/2 tsp cream of tartar
1/2 c granulated sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract

This fresh fruit tart recipe is a showstopper on any dessert table. It has everything you're looking for in a dessert…a crumbly crust, smooth pastry cream, lightly sweet fruits, and a glaze on top to make everything sparkle in the sun.

Pastry Cream:
1-3/4 c whole milk
6 Tbsp granulated sugar
3 Tbsp cornstarch
3 large egg yolks
2 Tbsp butter
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 Tbsp flour
Sweet Tart Crust:
1-3/4 c flour
1/2 c powdered sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 c butter ( melted )
1 large egg, plus 1 yolk
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp lemon zest
Chocolate Ganache optional:
2 oz dark chocolate , 60-65% cacao ( coarsely chopped )
1/4 c heavy cream
Fruit Glaze:
1/4 c fruit jam of your choice
1 Tbsp water
