Tava Naan / Skillet Naan Bread

Tava Naan is a soft and chewy, delicious and super easy to make Indian flat bread recipe prepared on a cast iron skillet.

All purpose flour / Maida – 1 1/2 cups
Active dry yeast – 1 tsp
Sugar – 1 tsp
Lukewarm water – 1/2 cup
Salt – 1 tsp
Baking soda – 1/8 tsp
Yogurt – 2 tsp (vegans can skip yogurt)
For Garnish:
Butter / Ghee – 1 tbsp (use olive oil for vegan version)
Coriander leaves finely chopped – 3 strands
Green chilies finely chopped – 1
Salt – 1/8 tsp
Active dry yeast – 1 tsp
Sugar – 1 tsp
Lukewarm water – 1/2 cup
Salt – 1 tsp
Baking soda – 1/8 tsp
Yogurt – 2 tsp (vegans can skip yogurt)
For Garnish:

In a bowl add about 1/2 cup of lukewarm water, sugar and sprinkle yeast, and let the yeast activate. This might take about 5 minutes.
