Zwetschkendatschi - Austrian plum cake

This is my first recipe on my recipe magic, and therefore I have decided to present you a fantastic plum cake. It's a sheet cake and has a short pastry base. It is quick and easy to prepare and definitely cannot prepared often enough. I'm blogging from Austria, and here it is common to indicate exact weights in recipes. You can find gram as well as ounces, and hope that you will be fine with that.

- 300 g/ 10,6 oz flour
- 100 g/ 3,5 oz sugar
- 150 g/ 5,3 oz butter
- Salt (one pinch)
- 16 g/ 0,6 oz backing powder
- 2 eggs

- approx. 1,3 kg plums (depends on their size)
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 16 g/ o,6 oz vanilla sugar

- 100 g/ 3,5 oz butter
- 50 g/ 1,8 oz sugar
- 150 g/ 5,3 oz flour
