Easy Homemade French Bread

Chewy, crusty, homemade french bread......easy!

7 cups flour
2 T yeast
3 cups hot water
2 T sugar
2 T olive oil
1 1/2 T salt
Lightly stir 3 cups flour & all ingredients in a bowl & let sit for ten minutes. Mixture will get bubbly. Add additional flour & knead until a soft dough forms. Let rise until doubled. Punch down & form three artisan loaves. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. When oven is ready bake loaves for 15 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees & spray loaves with water. Bake an additional 15 minutes.
