Grilled Okra

Grilling okra on skewers creates a tasty, crunchy side-dish without frying! Nothing slimy about this okra because the skewers allow the inside of the okra to be cooked.

1 pint of okra , washed
1 tbsp olive oil
1/4 tsp seasoned salt
pepper, to taste
1 tbsp olive oil
1/4 tsp seasoned salt
pepper, to taste
Toss okra, olive oil, and seasonings in a large bowl. Thread okra onto metal skewers, leaving a little space between each piece. Grill on medium high about 5 minutes, turn over and grill 5 more minutes. Watch carefully.
Could be baked in the oven for 20 minutes at 425 degrees, place skewers on baking sheet.
