Heirloom tomatoes, fresh basil, garlic, and olive oil make the most simply perfect summer appetizer.

Fresh Mozzarella (Be sure to get fresh mozzarella, the kind packed in water)
Fresh Garlic

Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Pepper
Balsamic Vinegar (optional)

Chop tomatoes and fresh mozzarella and add to a small mixing bowl. I like to use a ratio of about 3/4 tomatoes to 1/4 mozzarella.
