Heirloom tomatoes, fresh basil, garlic, and olive oil make the most simply perfect summer appetizer.

Tomatoes
Fresh Mozzarella (Be sure to get fresh mozzarella, the kind packed in water)
Fresh Garlic
Basil
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Salt
Pepper
Balsamic Vinegar (optional)
