Mango with Sticky Rice

This is the top popular Thai desserts. The sticky and smooth sweetness are particularly hard to resist for ladies (and gentlemen)! The picture shows my family’s work when studying in Chiang Mai Thai Cookery School, Chiang Mai, Thailand. According to the cookery school, some foreigners even specially choose to come to Thailand in the mango season for this treat.

16 oz. mango (about 24 oz., or 2 mangoes unpeeled)
20 oz. sticky rice
16 oz. thick coconut milk
5 oz. thin coconut milk
2 cups sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sesame seeds, cooked
Soak the sticky rice in cool water for 3 hours or more. Steam the soaked sticky rice until it is cooked. Set aside 2/3 tsp. salt and 2 T. sugar, and blend the remaining salt and sugar with the thick coconut...
